About the Coaches

Meet the volunteers who make Clayton Run Club happen!

Debbie and Matt Jaffee

Debbie, Matt, Charlotte (5th grade), and Sophie (1st grade) love being part of the Run Club community! Our involvement with Run Club has been a fun family endeavor and we love bringing joy to your runners! The Jaffee fam loves game nights, ice cream, playing on the beach, and all things Clayton!

Joana and Abe Gandara

Parents of Evalina 5th Grade and Eliyana 1st Grade. We have been volunteering with run club for 3 years. Love the camaraderie and community this provides for our kids.

Malcolm Prouty

For the past four years, I’ve been proud to run with and support the Clayton Run Club since its very beginning. It’s been rewarding to watch the club grow while encouraging our young runners, building community, and sharing a love of staying active. I’m grateful to continue being part of a program that brings Clayton students and families together through running.

Amanda Ullman

I’m Amanda and mom to four Cardinals. Elliott 5th grade, Millie 2nd grade and twins Selma and Louie in 1st grade. I’ve been volunteering with run club since the beginning and I love watching the kids work hard and achieve their goals. And weeks when family joins and run together with the kids are the best!

Mrs. Walker

Run Club Faculty Sponsor

Your kiddo may know Mrs. Walker as one of the kindergarten teachers at Clayton! During Run Club, she can be found giving high fives, helping with bandages, bathroom trips or water breaks, and getting kiddos to stay on the track. Back in the day, she ran on her high school’s cross country team. Since then, she has enjoyed the occasional 5k fun run (Warrior Dash with her husband was one of her favorites)! Nowadays, you might find Mrs. Walker at one of our community food truck nights, bike riding, walking her dog Billy around the neighborhood, or tending to the plants in our Clayton Butterfly Garden. Her son (Owen) will be a 4th grader at Clayton this year, and her daughter (Sophia) will be a 6th grader at Gorzycki!
